A First Quarter Review Of 2026

Starting off a new year can sometimes be on the rocky side.

In some cases it can a few months for the momentum of last year to fade so that you can start to move in a new direction.

That’s been the case for me last year and to some extent this year as well.

I Bought A Car

After 2 years of using an electric bike as my primary transportation I am officially back on the road.

I’m also earning money doing deliveries as an independent contractor which is great.

These two factors combine nicely for my lifestyle. I have a lot of flexibility for my schedule throughout the day, and I’m able to weave a lot of different activities in along with that.

While I’m out doing deliveries I can make other stops while I’m already out, such as going grocery stopping, hitting the gym, or even pulling into a library to stop and write a new article.

Or I can head home to record new music, or even lay down and take a nap if I feel like it.

This works great for a guy like me who enjoys moving, shaking, and going different places throughout the day.

I’m Recording New Music

If you’ve been following along on YouTube or Instagram you may have seen that I’ve been putting some new music out at the start of this year.

So far I’ve been getting some of the best reception I’ve received on any of the music I’ve released thusfar.

My views are going up, and I’m even having friends/family reach out to me directly to let me know they saw my post and that they thought it was good.

This is a great move for me at the top of this year. Even in My 100th Blog Post I made it clear that this was a direction that I wanted to start heading in, and now I am making it happen. And I’m only just getting started. I’m really looking forward to continue to keep going with this throughout the year.

I’m Setting Bigger Goals

Last month the owner of my current residence came down from New York to view the property for the first time since I moved in about 2 years ago.

While he was down we discussed the fact that he is interested in selling the place, and that I would be interested in purchasing it.

This would make a great investment property. It’s an old house and needs a lot of work, but that’s a good thing because it would give me the chance to learn.

It also would be in a great location. Even though I enjoy the idea of traveling and relocating over the years, I would also like to have a designated house in my hometown to hang on to.

This keeps me encouraged to keep saving and keep hustling in the meantime.

Conclusion

Having just turned 29 in January, this is an exciting time for me.

This year gives me the chance to close down my 20s on a positive note, and start gearing up to make my 30s phenomenal.

I can say that I am genuinely excited not only to continue to move forward with this year, but just to keep going in general.
