Addressing Criticisms Made Toward This Site
Over the past few weeks I have received several comments criticizing some of the content on this site.
The first was a commenter on Reddit that disagreed with my post saying that younger people today have it better than ever than. There were also a few messages on Instagram in regard to some of the comments I’ve made when it comes to young people getting married, buying a home (at a young age), and so on.
Let’s go ahead and jump into it.
Addressing The Reddit Comment
The first commenter stated that despite my article listing the positives of being a young person in 2025 (now 2026), education prices have skyrocketed, wages have stagnated, and home prices have risen as well.
Although these things are true, you could also point out that technology has mitigated a lot of these things. After all, there are countless ways to earn and learn, most of which are completely permissionless.
I also made the point that modern health and wellness options have improved the lives of many. In the past work/life balance was much less prioritized, and work from home options were scarcely available.
Getting Married and Buying a Home at a Young Age
When it comes to marriage and buying a home at a young age I’d say this:
Getting married later, when you have a more stable and well-paying job, can make things easier rather than when starting out very young without much financial security. Being in a stronger financial position often gives you more options and can help you build the kind of life you’re aiming for.
Keeping your expenses low early on can also make things easier on you. It can help you save more and give you flexibility to pursue other things.
If you don’t follow this approach you will probably be alright, but it may be harder to build wealth over the long run.
Relationships With Old Friends or Family Friends
Other criticisms have regarded comments made when it comes to relationships with friends, or friends of family from earlier points in time.
My point was that although it is good to maintain those connections, you also want to continue to expand and meet new people. It’s good to spend occasional time with the people you have known for many years, but you also don’t want to get too comfortable staying in that same lane.
Final Thoughts
Many of the things I write about on this site are things I have taken in from other people I look up to. Most of them are things I have read, but others are things I have learned from family members, or just personal life experiences.
As always, I give a big thank you to anyone who has taken the time to read the content on this site. My goal is never to offend anyone, especially the people who have been loyal to the content I share or things I post.
