The Pros Of Healthy MO

As briefly mentioned in my “My Experience With “No Fap“” article, back when I first discovered “No Fap” I was exposed to a variety of terms I wasn’t previously familiar with. One of those was “MO” or “PMO” which is basically an abbreviation for masturbation with or without pornography.

MO is something that is usually looked upon shamefully. Most guys would be ashamed to admit that they “MO” and some even seek professional guidance to help combat it.

In some cases, that may be a good thing, especially if it is impairing your day to day functioning. But, in most cases, things aren’t that serious.

In this article I want to look at some of the benefits of practicing healthy MO.

It’s Free

Being in a relationship can be expensive sometimes. If you have money, it’s not a big deal. But if you don’t, at least masturbation is free.

Ordering dinner, paying for vacations or expensive excursions, paying for alcohol, buying gifts. These are all the sorts of things that can accompany many relationships, and they can add up quickly. And in many cases, relationships can revolve around activities that aren’t particularly productive—eating ice cream, watching TV, or going out to eat—without ever stepping back to look at where these habits are leading in the long run.

On top of costing money, many relationships can also end up making it harder to earn and save money. Some people feel pressured into expensive weddings, larger homes than they actually need, or starting a family before they’re financially prepared. Others end up stuck working jobs they don’t enjoy simply to cover the growing expenses of their lifestyle, leaving little time, flexibility, or money to pursue opportunities that might increase their earnings over time.

It Helps You Get More In Touch With Your Body

If you can’t be comfortable taking care of things yourself, you can’t expect to be comfortable allowing others to do it for you.

Taking responsibility for yourself in that regard actually makes it easier to engage with others of the opposite gender. You start to understand what your interests are, why you like what you do, and how your interactions with the other gender make you feel.

This can only really take place if you are doing things in a healthy manner.

Final Thoughts

Connecting physically with another person is almost always going to be a better option than doing things completely on your own. That’s part of what draws guys in to practices like “No Fap” in the first place. To get themselves out of that groove and start being more proactive.

However, if you aren’t currently in a relationship, or don’t have a sexual partner, at least you can see that there are some positives. And even if you are in a relationship, there can still be benefits that can improve the quality of your sexual experiences with your partner. Especially if it’s something that you feel shameful about.
